Teaching Global Marketing and Branding in Germany

Hi Everyone! It’s Lydia here, sharing an update about my new teaching opportunity I recently took on. Let me take you back a little bit first.

In 2014, I made the decision to return to Germany for graduate school, leaving behind my career in the entertainment and music industry. It was a leap of faith, guided by a deep sense of purpose and a vision that I knew was meant to be part of my journey. Though it was not an easy choice, it became one of the most defining decisions of my life.

Fast forward a decade, and that leap of faith has led to countless opportunities, growth, and moments of reflection. This past month marked a particularly special milestone: being invited back to my alma mater, Pforzheim University, as a guest adjunct professor to teach a multicultural marketing and branding class. The invitation was both an honor and a full-circle moment.

Teaching onsite at Pforzheim University gave me the opportunity to share insights, connect with brilliant minds, and give back to the community that helped shape my career. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of persistence, purpose, and staying true to your vision.

As much as I hoped to inspire the next generation of global thinkers, they, in turn, inspired me with their curiosity, creativity, and passion. Moments like these reaffirm the value of sharing knowledge and nurturing connections across cultures and industries.
