Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training

The goal of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training is to become more culturally competent, empathetic, and self-aware. Blended Collective was asked to lead a diversity training session with a group of 15 executives in the commercial insurance and finance industry. Our content included topics on establishing a common understanding of what DEI means, cultivating a better understanding of the effects of diversity in the workplace based on data and insights, and the lack of gender diversity in leadership roles. Based on this, we recommended strategies on how to attract the next generation of insurance professionals with a strong focus on reaching multicultural millennials.

The session included various individual and group exercises to engage the group by applying the shared DE&I terminology through storytelling, while presenting best practices of industry and non-industry organizations nationally.
