Blended: Multicultural Auto Buying during Covid-19

Multicultural Auto Buying during Covid-19

This is our first virtual panel discussion as a continuation of our Speaker Event Series BLENDED, featuring Marc Bland, Chief Diversity Officer at IHS Markit, Dania Rich-Spencer, Vice President at Escalent, and Roman Fernandez, Senior Consultant at Roland Berger. Throughout the discussion on Multicultural Auto Buying during Covid-19, our panelists share great insights about how vehicle sales have been impacted during this pandemic alongside the purchase behavior of multicultural audiences. As the conversation continues, we discuss the opportunity for OEMs to target women across certain multicultural groups such as the African American audience, as data shows females as highly involved in the decision-making process. The panelists also discuss how brands can best navigate this situation.

This panel was supported by the German American Business Council of Michigan. Our program was originally planned to take place at the German Haus during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2020. The German Haus is a newly established partnership between the German American Business Council of Michigan and NAIAS, the North American International Auto Show, to support the German culture and automotive industry.
